This Program is for those individuals seeking to refresh their skills, or for those who have failed the Alabama State Board Exam 3 times or required to complete hours per the Alabama State Board of Cosmetology to obtain a license.
Students will learn the latest trends in cutting, styling, color, and chemical services.
Students are automatically enrolled in KBBI’s State Board Prep which includes a state board supply list, state board study packet, a guided stated board kit packing exercise, a mock written and practical exam.

No matter your circumstance or reason for needing a refresher, you can rest assured you will be prepared for success by the time you’ve completed this course.
Classes begin once per quarter (January, April, July, October) and are limited in size. To secure your spot in a class, simply pay your enrollment fee and submit your desired start date at checkout. Please note, the $100 application fee is transferable but is not refundable.
- Length: 3 months-375 Clock Hours (Online Optional)
- Full Time: 12.5 Weeks (30 Hours/week)
- Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
- Tuition: $750 per month or $2,250 in full
- Application Fee: $100
- Kit Fee: $800 (due two weeks before class start date).*
*Kit/Book fee is not applicable if you have been enrolled at KBBI before and still have your kit/books.
